I'm excited to be exhibiting a group of drawings which look closely at the interaction between the city, plant and animal life on Laycock Green, north London as it alters throughout the year at Art Hub’s Open Studios.

When speaking about the drawing Sleeping Tree from my Laycock Green series, Graham Crowley, former Professor of Painting at the Royal College of Art and winner of the prestigious John Moores Painting Prize 2023, described it as, "absolutely exquisite ... at every point you think you've just about taken in what's going on and [then] there's something else." It's almost time for the Royal Watercolour Society Open 2026, and I'm excited my watercolour High Water Arrival has been selected for this year's exhibition.

Very pleased to discover my watercolour Green Mantle has been selected for the inaugural Landscape Open Exhibition at The Salisbury Museum from 18th October 2025 - 25th January 2026.

I'll be showing new watercolours made from my fifth-floor studio window and at ground level by the Thames Barrier at Art Hub Open Studios on Saturday 13th September 2025, 12-6pm.

This exhibition invites six artists to explore human connection, gesture and form, set against the evolving backdrops of London and New York. I'm very excited to be showing drawings alongside work by: Güler Ates, Rita Barros, Katherine Jones RA, Bridget Moore and Abe Obedina.

‘Rising Tide’ is part of a new series of watercolours I'm currently making exploring the interactions between river, weather, industry, human and more-than-human life taking place in the area surrounding the Thames Barrier.

Writing in Hackney Citizen, Sarah Birch describes how the show is, “An enthralling new project led by the Urban Contemporaries Group [which] reflects on how artists have connected over time with the spaces around them.”

Over the past few months, it’s been exciting to have the opportunity to focus on working in colour. I’m mainly using watercolour as I love the way it can be both fluid and linear, and the way it feels so close to drawing.

So happy to discover today that two of my drawings have been selected for the Summer Exhibition 2024 at the Royal Academy!

I’m delighted ‘Tower’ will be exhibited in Fight Flight or Freeze, a group exhibition exploring instinct, agency and the existential angst inherent in our DNA.

I’m very much looking forward to exhibiting my drawing ‘Looking out to sea, Brighton’ in the SFSA Drawing Open 2024.

I'm delighted to be exhibiting in several group shows next year and I'm currently making new work in the Canary Wharf/West India Docks area, in preparation for one of next year's group shows. 

My solo show ‘Wayfaring, An exhibition of drawings’ opened on 18th October 2023 with a packed Private View and I was enormously grateful to David Remfry RA for officially opening the show with a very generous short speech.

Anthropologist Tim Ingold defines wayfaring as a process whereby a person moves through a landscape whilst maintaining an ‘active engagement with the country that opens up along [their] path’ (Lines, A brief History, 2007. Routledge Classics, 2016, p.78). This description feels very relevant to the way I ….
