Alexandra Blum, ‘7.10.09 - from the Print House roof, Ashwin Street’, charcoal on paper, 59 x 84 cm

“You’re gonna have to change all of that.  Rub it out, start again.  It’s all different now.”  He’s right it’s all changing so quickly.  Brown rain proof panels are being attached to the facade, sealing it off from the city.  The older terrace seems to sink into the foreground, decaying before its time.  Extract from drawing diary 2010

This drawing is on long-term loan to Hackney Museum, it’s currently exhibited within their permanent collection.
