6 Made from drawings of the area outside of London Bridge station, the Railway Approach series focuses on forms which both embody and facilitate movement through time and space within the city: the road, pedestrian crossings and bridges for example. Forms drawn from observation including manhole covers, puddles and signage, are juxtaposed with invented forms indicating broader sweeps of movement, such as the road, to convey a sense of the varying pace of the spaces an individual encounters when moving through the city. |
